Ford remote keys - steadfast : Hi Keith, I have had a Mondeo Mk 1 since new and the batteries went flat ages ago.The first time they expired,the local ford dealer only charged for the battery.However,now I am told it is costly to have them do it.I don't think I can change the batteries in the specified time of 15 seconds.I would be grateful if you could tell me how to resynchronise if I fail PURPLE_2L_LX. The central locking works only with the fob ,the interior door buttons do nothing,and the interior boot switch has stoped working,it locks and unlocks fine with the fob. if the remote wasn't used its probably needing reprogrammed but you can't do that till you get in the car but even with a dead battery the driver door should manually unlock the battery has enough juice so either the keys work the ignition but not the locks or the locks are faulty you may need to call a locksmith out to get into the car . yunni the 12.3 v refers to the car standing no idle At this present time in the UK you can not update your sysnc system by wifi.
